Amazon Prime Video - Good Omens’ Garden of Earthly Delights

Where: SXSW - Austin, TX

To launch the premiere of the Amazon Prime Video show, Good Omens, we transformed a parking lot in downtown Austin into a Garden of Earthly Delights. The show centers around two main characters, an Angel and Devil who join forces to stop the coming apocalypse that will end the world. Their love of all things Earthly is the driving force, so our garden was meant to be a utopia where guests could experience life’s little luxuries and escape the SXSW madness.

Activations included adoptable ‘Hell Hounds’ from local shelters to play and cuddle with, manicures, sushi, chicken wings, lux seating areas, stage programming and numerous vignettes from the show to snap photos with. The real centerpiece though was an enormous tree that dispensed wine and beer!

The creative team designed every inch of the space to fit in line with the show and replicate various locations and experiences based on each of the main characters.

The space also played host to various nightly parties for VIPS and cast members as well as author of the series, Neil Gaimon. Lives bands performed and celebrity DJs played to the crowds.

The experience expanded into the streets of Austin, with roving bands of aliens, hell hounds, angels, demons and anarchists spread the word of the upcoming apocalypse, encouraging people to come and enjoy all the garden had to offer.

In addition to the Garden and also in the space was the Amazon Blue Room, a place for media to interview attending SXSW VIPS and talent. The incredible portrait photographer, Peggy Sirota was on hand to capture some amazing moments, helping to make the Garden of Earthly Delights THE place to be at SXSW.
